About Michelle

Michelle VanderHeide LMSW

Michelle has a passion to see individuals and families come out of crisis and restore relationships with one another. She recognizes that one family member struggling can impact the entire family and is passionate about pulling the individual and/or family through hard times.

 

She has extensive experience with helping to develop healthy relationships between parent and child as well as guiding parents to become effective and confident parents to their children.

Michelle has been working with families and individuals with autism, learning problems, anxiety, and behavioral regulation problems for over 15 years. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Calvin College and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Dakota.

She is an active member at her church and has developed a special needs program, led adult education classes and taught in the middle school ministries, both in large and small groups. She has also participated in and taught their church’s one on one discipleship program.

 

Much of her time is spent with her family, taking her children to their activities, and overseeing the operations of their household. In her spare time she enjoys going out for coffee, taking long walks with friends and spending time outdoors.
